Proficiency Test

 

The Adult School provides testing certification in math, reading, and writing. These proficiency tests are by appointment only.

 

Effective July 1, 2019, the following policies, procedures, and costs will be in effect for all proficiency tests administered at Bakersfield Adult School.

 

Test candidates must report a half hour before testing time to complete forms, pay fees, and have their identity verified. It will take approximately three hours to complete the battery of three tests.

 

Cost: $10.00 (for all tests)
CASH ONLY - NO CHECKS

 

Individual Tests:

• Reading - $2.00
• Math - $2.00
• Writing - $6.00

Materials Needed:
Ink pen and #2 pencil

 

All examinees must have picture identification. Acceptable picture identification includes a California driver's license or I.D. card issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles, a passport, a military I.D. card, or a government I.D. card. The examinee's name, birth date, signature, and photograph must appear on the above or on some combination of the above. A temporary driver's license, social security card, or birth certificate is not sufficient to prove identification.
