With the Information Technology Specialist (ITS) certificate from Bakersfield Adult School, you'll be equipped with a blend of computer science, business, and project management skills. The course emphasizes networks, telecommunications, and offers hands-on experience with computer networks, audiovisual systems, and more. As technology evolves, so does the ITS discipline. The curriculum covers computer networking, telecommunications, project management, and blueprint/CAD design. Successful completion earns students a certificate.
 
The Introduction to Networking and Cabling Fundamentals course delves into the technical aspects of networking and cabling. Students will master Copper (CAT6) and Fiber Optic cabling applications and standards, and gain hands-on experience with network infrastructure, including switch, router, and wireless programming. A certificate is awarded upon successful completion.
