About 10 Key Certification Testing
The Adult School provides typing and machine calculation tests and certification. Certificates issued by this program are accepted by most public and private agencies. Tests are given on the third Tuesday of each month September through May (except December)
The following policies, procedures, and costs will be in effect for all proficiency tests administered at Bakersfield Adult School.
Time: 3:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.
Test candidates should report no later than this time to complete forms, pay fees, and have identity verified. The tests are timed and will start promptly at 3:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.
CASH ONLY - NO CHECKS.
ALL 10 Key Certification Tests are taken on computers which are provided by the Bakersfield Adult School.
All examinees must have picture identification. Acceptable picture identification includes a California driver's license or I.D. card issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles, passport, military I.D. card, or government I.D. card. The examinees name, birth date, signature, and photograph must appear on the above or on some combination of the above. A temporary driver's license, social security card, or birth certificate is not sufficient to prove identification.
There will be no tests offered at Shafter or Arvin/Lamont Adult Schools.
Testing Dates*No tests are given in July and December.
